were the lucky owners of new
websites following a special
digital event.

As part of Digital Scarborough
Science City York challenged
participants to make two new
websites from scratch in eight
hours....
Everyone was welcome to
take part in the challenge and
skills in the following areas
would be appreciated on the
day
HTML & CSS design
logo/graphic design
creative/copy writers
CMS/Backend development
(eg joomla)
photography
Wi-Fi and refreshments will
be provided to participants.

Spectators who wanted to
learn a bit more about the
web development process
were also welcome to the
event.
The Code-a-Thon took place
at Sigma bar, at The Cask in
Cambridge Terrace, on
Saturday March 15 from
9am-6pm.
It was also streamed on the
web live at
archive footage of which is
now showing in a continuous
loop so you can see what
happened.....
